Cause

This 50/50 fundraiser will support the Summerland Museum and Archives Society in creating a Children’s Learning Centre, making the museum more welcoming, accessible, and fun for children and their families.

Items to be purchased include: child appropriate furniture, sand/water table, story time rug and cushions, puppets, interactive sensory panels, educational puzzles and games, genuine and replica fossils, geological specimens, and books on reconciliation and diversity.

The Summerland Museum sees over 4,000 visitors per year with admission by donation. The addition of a Children’s Learning Centre will greatly enhance the museum’s community programming.
